It is little surprise that the Hoosier Heritage Conference
has fared so well in football this season. Players from HHC schools are
sprinkled throughout the Isaac’s list of state statistical leaders. It is also
no surprise that most of those individuals are members of the high scoring
Delta, Shelbyville, and
The conference boasts several players listed among the state’s
top rushers. They are led by Shelbyville’s Davis Brown who is averaging 123.4
yards per game on the ground. Delta’s Kyle Stevens is right behind with 123.0
per contest. Not to be outdone,
places Derek Kundenreich on the list at 114.1 yards per contest.
Wesley Winkle of
Logan Young of Delta appear on the list of top receivers. Both players are
averaging over 65 yards a game. In the passing ranks,
Jacob Walker is 15th in the state, averaging 184.7 yards per game.
Brown of Shelbyville and Stevens of Delta also appear on the
list of leading scorers. Brown averages 16.7 points a game while Stevens comes
n at 12.2 On the defensive side of the ball;
Jacob Dungan is among the state’s best, averaging 10.1 tackles per game.
