BB: Week One Hoosier Heritage Summary

Seven Hoosier Heritage teams saw action over the weekend.
The contests included the conference opener, Saturday evening’s clash between
Delta and Pendleton
Heights. Delta downed the
young Arabians 67-59 to grab an early leg up in the league race.

Elsewhere, Mount Vernon was
impressive in thumping Hamilton
Heights 61-48 in their
opener. P.J. Hubert led the Marauders with 24 points. Yorktown
continued their rugged early season schedule and fell to Muncie Central 63-39. New
Palestine dropped a heartbreaker to New Castle 40-37. Shelbyville
picked up right where they left off last year. The Golden Bears downed Shelby County
rival Triton Central 64-54. On Friday evening, Greenfield-Central dropped their
opener to Whiteland 51-34.

Pendleton
Heights gets a jump on
the rest of the conference this week. The Arabians travel to Westfield Tuesday night. The rest of the
action is on Friday. It is headlined by a couple of intra-county rivalries.
Cowan will visit Delta while Eastern Hancock travels to New Palestine.
