Franklin collected all the first-place ribbons and swept both Shelbyville swimming programs Dec. 2 at a dual meet in Shelbyville.
Franklin won the girls’ meet, 139-47.
Freshman Ashley Nolley finished second in the 100-yard backstroke (1:12.35) and third in the 200 individual medley (2:45.63) for the Golden Bears.
Senior Megan Smith was second in the diving competition. Franklin senior Natalie Grissom topped Smith, 197.85-132.50.
Nolley, Lina Knorr, Liz Fleming and Breanna Miller combined to finish second in the 200 freestyle relay (2:07.48).
The Grizzly Cubs won the boys’ meet, 138-48.
For Shelbyville, junior Joe Cross was second in the 50 freestyle (25.18) and 100 freestyle (59.06). Sophomore Jacob Frazee was second in the 200 individual medley (2:33.43) and third in the 100 butterfly (1:09.27).
Cross and Frazee teamed with freshman Tanner Hunt and senior Paul Carlisle to finish second in the 400 freestyle relay (4:04.29).
